Hi All, Welcome to Squished Learning.
Throughout my life, like many of you, I have been learning new thing skills and I have tried a number of time to create various websites to share those skills. However, the problem that I found was that my interest were too varied and creating individual specific sites for each niche that I’m interested in felt too fragmented. Therefore, I introduce to you Squished Learning.
One site to rule them all
I know this goes against the basic rules of blogging: create a site specific to a niche and only focus on that in the blog, so your readers know what they are getting. However, I’m interested in many things and when i find out about something new and cool, i want to share what I have found.
What is Squished Learning?
Squished Learning is an online space where I can share all of the things that have learnt and am currently learning. It will cover diverse niches from cooking to language learning to investing. Anything that I find interesting and that I think others will also. Now that I have children, I am constantly thinking about what they need to learning to get by in life, and i have reflected on what i was taught and what i have learnt since. I have concluded that I am nowhere anywhere near the end of my lending journey, but i have identified some areas that my sons should definitely know about for them to succeed in life. Those and many more areas will be covered in Squished Learning as I share what I know about them or share as I learn about them.
You don’t understand it until you teach it.
I have been teaching for the past 19 years, and one thing I have learnt is that you don’t really understand how much you know, and don’t know, about something until you try to teach it. That is why many of the posts on Squished Learning will be me sharing my learning journey. I will share the new things that I have just learnt to inform others, but also as a way for me to make sure that I understand what I am learning.
Open Discussion
If you see something that I have posted that you do not agree with or you think is incorrect, please let me know. We are all on a learning journey, and if we don’t make mistakes we can’t learn from.
